Looking for a bus from Philadelphia to New York for the Army Navy game? Start with the map, because the game is not in either city. The 2026 Army-Navy Game is at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, so a Philly Bus ticket gets you most of the way, not all of it.
Philly Bus takes you from Philadelphia to its New York stop. From there, you still need a separate trip to the stadium. This guide covers the bus leg and where it ends, and it is honest about the part we don’t cover.
We don’t sell game tickets and we don’t list ticket prices or availability. We also publish no information about extra trips for this game. What follows uses only what Philly Bus publishes, plus the date and venue from the event listings.
The Army-Navy Game moves between host cities, so this page is written for this year’s location. If you read it in a later season, check where the game is being played before you plan anything.

The Date and Venue Behind the Army Navy Game Bus Trip
The game is on Saturday, December 12, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The kickoff time had not been announced when this page was written, so it is not listed here. Confirm it on the official Army-Navy Game page.
East Rutherford is outside New York City, and it is also outside both Philly Bus pickup addresses. That is the single most important fact for planning a bus from Philadelphia to New York for the Army Navy game.
Event listings point to NJ Transit as the connection from New York to the stadium on game day. We don’t publish NJ Transit times or routes, so check NJ Transit’s official page for game-day service before you build the rest of the plan.
The same idea applies to any event where the venue is a separate local leg from the pickup point: the bus gets you to the city, and the last stretch is its own plan.
Choosing Your Bus From Philadelphia to New York
Philly Bus runs the route more than 70 times a week, with five standard departure times: 9AM, 12PM, 3PM, 5PM, and 7PM. The 7PM run only operates on some days, so the booking page is where you confirm what runs on December 12.
The company’s own estimate for the ride is about 2 hours. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed time. On that estimate, a 9AM departure reaches New York around 11:00 AM and a 12PM departure around 2:00 PM.
Then add the second leg. You still have to get from the New York stop to the NJ Transit connection and on to the stadium. Because the kickoff time is not out and we publish no NJ Transit times, leave a wide margin and pick an early departure.
A morning run is the safer choice for a Saturday with a big crowd moving toward New Jersey. A midday run only makes sense once the kickoff time is official and you know how long the connection takes.
The Philadelphia pickup point is 1001 Filbert St, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Put it into your maps app before the day. Arrive 20 minutes before departure. Seating is first come, first served, with no assigned seats, so friends traveling together should arrive together.

On the New York side, the address Philly Bus publishes is 2 Pike Street, New York, NY 10002, by the Citi Bike lane. Confirm on the booking page which New York stop your Philadelphia-to-New York ticket uses, and save that address too.
Our guide on the Philly Bus stop at 2 Pike Street in New York describes that stop. Neither stop is anywhere near MetLife Stadium, so do not treat either one as a place you can walk to the game from.
Getting Home After the Army Navy Game
Plan the return before you leave Philadelphia. A football game that starts in the afternoon or evening can end after the last standard Philly Bus departure from New York, which is 7PM, and that run only operates on some days.
Since the kickoff time is not published, nobody can say yet when the game will end. Add the trip from the stadium back to New York, and the picture gets tighter. Open the booking page for your return date and look at what it lists.
If it shows no departure after you expect to be back, assume there is none. There are three realistic choices: stay overnight in New York and look at a Sunday departure, book the return for another day, or leave the stadium early.
A fourth option is another way home for the late hours. We don’t publish information about other transport, so check each provider’s own page. Our guide on catching the last bus back after a night game walks through the timing logic.
If Plans Change: Rescheduling and Ticket Terms
Tickets are unrestricted: if you miss your bus, you can reschedule your trip for any time within one year of the ticket purchase date. On a day with a second leg and a crowd, that rule is worth knowing before you go.
It is a reschedule, not a refund. The ticket terms say the ticket is not refundable. Refunds apply only when the company cancels a trip, for reasons such as weather, traffic, or safety, in which case affected passengers are refunded their purchase price.
Our guide on what happens if you miss your bus from NYC to Philadelphia lays out both cases. Missing the bus means rescheduling, and a company cancellation means a refund.
What the Bus From Philadelphia to New York Does and Doesn’t Cover
It helps to be clear about the boundary. Your Philly Bus ticket covers the ride between the Philadelphia pickup point and the New York pickup point. It does not cover the connection to New Jersey, the stadium entry, or anything that happens at the game itself.
That boundary is why this trip needs two plans instead of one. The first plan is the bus: pick the departure, get to 1001 Filbert St with time to spare, and know which New York stop you are riding to. The second plan is the connection, and it belongs to NJ Transit and the stadium.
Groups often split up at this point, with some people driving and some taking the bus. If you are traveling with friends, agree on a meeting place in New York and a time to leave for the stadium, so nobody is waiting on a platform for someone who is still at the curb.
Our guide for traveling as a group on the NYC to Philadelphia bus covers how seating works when several people ride together. Seats are not assigned, so the group that arrives together boards together.
Game Day Checklist for the Bus From Philadelphia to New York
Check the booking page for December 12 and your return day before you commit. The page shows the real schedule for the date you pick, including whether the 7PM run is available.
You can bring food and non-alcoholic drinks on the bus, but alcohol is never allowed. Smoking and vaping are prohibited on the bus and within 50 feet of it, which matters when people gather before boarding.
Philly Bus states it is not responsible for lost personal items or luggage, so keep your phone, wallet, and game tickets on you. If something is left behind, email [email protected], since found items are kept for up to 14 days.
Pets are not allowed in the cabin, though service animals are always allowed. If you need wheelchair assistance or other special help, Philly Bus asks you to call at least 48 hours before travel, so do not leave that for game day.
If the published material does not answer a question, contact customer service at +1(800)879-8775 or [email protected]. Ask the exact question, such as which departures run on your date, and write down the answer with the day you got it.
Plan Both Legs Before You Go
A bus from Philadelphia to New York for the Army Navy game works when you treat the trip as two legs. Philly Bus covers the first one, between its Philadelphia and New York stops, and the stadium leg is a separate plan.
Pick an early departure, settle the connection to MetLife using the official NJ Transit page, and decide ahead of time how you are getting home. If your plans shift, the one-year reschedule rule means a long day does not also mean a wasted ticket.
